Our client is a leading global energy company in the upstream sector of the oil And gas industry. The company is involved in oil exploration, production, and Marketing of energy products in Nigeria. As part of the initiatives to enhance its operational effectiveness, the company Desires to recruit focused, energetic, result-oriented and qualified individuals to Join its team of lawyers as Legal Practitioners.   Specific responsibilities include: Negotiate, draft and advise on various kinds of upstream commercial agreements. Ensure compliance with the statutory regulations, applicable legislations, agreements And legal issues affecting the company's operations in Nigeria. Manage and supervise the activities of external counsel, prepare budgets and provide Legal support services to the various SBUs with in the company. Liaise with appropriate regulatory authorities on behalf of the company on legal matters.   Qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience: A good first degree in law from a reputable university. Membership of the Nigeria Bar Association or its equivalent is essential. Excellent knowledge of the oil and gas laws and regulations. Good understanding of the trends and outlook of the oil and gas industry in global and local Markets. Strong written and oral communication skills.
