Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) is currently seeking for a General Manager to manage its growing business and build up the EME label.e Job Title: General Manager Position Objective Generation and development of both inbound and outbound new business opportunities. The Ideal candidate will direct, promote, and coordinate the operations of the business in a manner that will optimize its market share and savings, improve the organization's efficiency, help achieve the organization's mission and goals, and result in outstanding customer service. Reporting To: The Ceo; Empire Mates Entertainment External Relationships Blue chip and SME clients to director level on both marketing and technical teams Internal Relationships Senior Management, Artistes, Marketing team, Finance and Administration Job Type: Full Time; Permanent. Location: Lagos; Nigeria Job Responsibilities Oversee the Operations of the Business Oversee the business development of the EME brand and the artiste under the EME brand Extend the brand to other business opportunities be it Sponsorships, Endorsements, Business Ownership in Brands. Monetize the brand and that of the artistes under different platforms Create Processes and Systems to support the platform of the Label and to ensure best practices. Build the internal team of EME that support the artistes and the brand. Develop and communicate the business goals and results to personnel. Select, supervise, and support the EME team; Uphold all EME business policies. Develop and review budget and goals with the EME team at the beginning of each fiscal year. Build and maintain positive relationships within the entertainment industry, other labels, and the relevant business community. Provide and promote the service necessary to meet the business's goals and needs. Submit monthly reports, general information, and recommendations to the CEO and board of directors. Perform all other duties as assigned by the CEO and board of Directors. Person Specification The skills, knowledge and experience required from the ideal candidate include: Knowledge of the Nigerian Entertainment Industry with quoted work experience within the same field. Business Development and Marketing skills. Confident negotiator and ability to 'close the deal' Strong client management skills. Capable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions Proven leadership skills. A positive and determined approach to researching and analyzing new business opportunities Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritize tasks. Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation. Excellent organizational and time management skills. A positive attitude to dealing with people. Capable of working independently. Functional Competencies Required: Confidence to present a tailored presentation to potential client team by effectively using a range of presentation skills i.e. body language, voice tone etc. Ability to deliver a tailored sales process to achieve targets /KPI's by generating leads, asking probing questions, using most appropriate features & benefits based on clients needs and matching with a tailored solution. Ability to identify new business opportunities using relevant research tools / sector specific targeting. A detailed knowledge of search engine / on line marketing i.e. Explain value of search and benefits in relation to other on line marketing. Ability to identify Empire Mates Entertainment issues and recommend solutions Ability to manage and maintain accurate and accessible tailored documentation. Ability to co-ordinate the pitch process by effectively providing the relevant teams with a summary of clients technical and marketing needs in order to obtain relevant assessment strategy recommendations Required Qualification 3+ years experience in Account Management/Client Services, Marketing, and/or Brand Management. Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred). Entertainment Industry related experience will be an added advantage.
