IITA, with Headquarters at Ibadan, is an International Agricultural Research Centre in the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), currently recruits for TREASURY ASSISTANT (2-year renewable contract ) IITA, with Headquarters at Ibadan, is an International Agricultural Research Centre in the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), which is an association of about 50 countries, international and regional organizations, and private foundations. IITA seeks to increase agricultural production in a sustainable way in order to improve the nutritional status and well-being of people in tropical Sub-Saharan Africa. The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable candidates for the following positions at the Institute's Headquarters in Ibadan. Position TREASURY ASSISTANT (2-year renewable contract ) Duties Successful candidate will: * Assist to manage and reconcile 30 banks (cash and deposit accounts) in US, UK and Nigeria; Monitor regular cheque-payment to staff; * Update and advise weekly exchange rates; Journalize all emergency cash transactions; * Write cash book adjustments to book direct transactions to all bank accounts e.g. bank charges, interest charged, commission etc; * Attend to queries from internal and external auditors and from Local and Overseas suppliers as they affect treasury functions * Perform any other duties as may be assigned by Finance Manager. Qualification and Experience: BSc/HND Accounting or ICAN PE II plus minimum of two years working experience doing similar jobs. . Must be very good in the use of Oracle applications, have a sound analytical mind and must be willing to work for long hours.
